How will the Face to Face meetings be scheduled and how many meetings will I be able to have with the decision makers?
Decision makers will review your company profile and capability statement. Based on the sub-contractors match with their category of needs, meetings will be scheduled with the sub-contractor. The sub-contractor will then be notified via email of the appointment time and the name of the CVS Health and/or prime GC decision maker they will be meeting with.

Every effort will be made to allow a minimum of 2 meetings or more for each sub-contractor.
Do I have to be prequalified to be selected for a meeting?
YES, you must submit a complete profile and use the available template and/or up load your own. Capability statements should be no more than two pages. You must also agree to CVS Health’s Supplier Base Qualifications. See Web site for link.
Does a sub-contractor need to be certified MBE to attend the BBE
No, All diverse companies are welcome to participate whether or not you currently have certification. Please note that you will need to become certified in order to secure a contract. If you are interested in becoming certified, we would be able to provide materials and contact information. If you are a supplier with certification we are presently accepting those listed below:

Who are the CVS Health attendees and General Contractor partner’s decision makers that I could potentially be meeting with?
The CVS Health attendees will be from the following departments: Construction, Facilities & Maintenance, Strategic Procurement and Supplier Diversity.

If GCs will be attending their names and contact information will be provided.
What is the difference between a business profiles and a capability statement? Why are both necessary?
Both will be required in order to provide decision makers with visibility to your organization’s experience and capacity to provide a quality service.

Business Profile will showcase your company and services offered. This will help the decision makers to see all your company’s key points and decide if they desire to hear more details about your services

Capability Statement generally functions as a more detailed yet simple snap shot marketing/selling tool for your business much like an employment resume. You should highlight four specific components of your operation. Preferably, please limit it to one but no more than two pages in length. 
What’s included in my diverse sub-contractor registration?
Registration for diverse sub-contractors is complimentary and includes access to the general session, meals, and a meeting schedule.
Will any preparation training be provided for sub-contractors?
Yes, two web-ex training sessions will be scheduled to assist you in preparing a capability statement. A template will be provided for you to populate with your company information. You will also have the option to upload your own two page capability statement.
How do I determine my company’s classification/NAICS codes?
The NAICS codes in large measure will help align and match diverse sub-contractor technical services and any other capabilities required, to match the decision maker business needs During registration for this event, we are asking you to select your primary NAICS code from the list that is provided, and if applicable, type additional services in the text box available.

What do I need to do to get the most out of the BBE and increase my chances of obtaining a contract a contract?
Tips for Successful BBE Meetings:

I. Be prepared – To maximize your upcoming one on one appointment with the Decision makers please click on their LOGO link located on the registration page. This will give you a chance to review their websites and conduct the necessary research beforehand. Your additional fact finding process, will allow you to better discuss the capabilities of your company as it relates to General Contractor partners business development opportunities, and priorities:

Look for ways to align and can add value in the areas of:

  • Industry Development Initiatives
  • Market conditions
  • Business Operations
  • Business Requirements
  • Regulatory Mandates


II. Prepare a ONE PAGE (could be 2 sided) Capabilities Overview Presentation – This should be “clean”, concise and professional looking.
You will have 20 minute meeting = (15 minute dialogue and 5 minute alert to wrap up/close))

Your presentation should include:
  • General Company Information and overview
  • Core Competencies-  Specific services offered
  • Experience/Qualifications
  • Key Differentiators and Expertise: How the  services your company offers meets or exceeds GC’s expectations
  • Past performances references or testimonials
  • Financial Data
  • Diverse Business Certifications: Companies are welcome to participate whether or not you currently have certification, however you must be willing to become certified in order to secure a contract.

I’m a General contractor not a sub-contractor, how does a general contractor get to do business with CVS Health?
This is a custom event seeking construction sub-contractor service providers “ONLY”. However those GC’s that are willing /capable of performing these services in the capacity as a sub-contractor are welcome to register.
